● Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mr. Yatsenuk asked Donetsk region governor Mr. Taruta to restore life sustenance infrastructure of liberated Slovyansk in 24 hours. This includes resumption of operation of public, law enforcement, justice, health and educational institutions, Oschadbank, communication systems, food and water supply. Neighboring Kharkiv and Luhansk regions should support the process.

Kyiv

● Maidan self-defense moves from the Maidan square to Kyiv fortress. As protesters are not willing to leave Kyiv, they’re moving to the territory of the architectural complex «Kiev fortress» (in Pechersk). Decision has been taken, as initial Maidan and Self-Defense ideas have been discredited by other protesters who’ve very recently settled in the main square of the Ukrainian capital. Just one tent of Self-Defense will remain stationed on Maidan square.

● Archbishop of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (under Moscow Patriarchate) Vladimir, passed away. He departed out of this world at 79, after a siege of illness. In fact, he had not acted as Archbishop due to poor health, since February 2014. This event will inevitably lead to confrontation between Ukraine and Russia on the appointment of a new Archbishop. «Ukraine should think of choosing a person that will serve the interests of Ukrainian people first but not Moscow», as stressed by the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church under Kyiv Patriarchate, Filaret.

War in Ukraine

● Terrorists left Slovyansk, Druzhkivka, Konstantynivka and Kramators’k, Ukrainian flags have been set on town halls of these cities. Huge amount of weapons and uniforms of Russian origin left abandoned by terrorists there. Fights continued in Kramatorsk. Terrorists-militants moved to Donetsk on armored personnel carriers and under forced cover of civilian hostages, afterwards attempting to attack the airport. Fightings have been ongoing between two groups of terrorists in Chervonopartyzansk, Lugansk region, as reported by head of the "Information resistance» center, Mr. Tymchuk. Russian "Cossacks" and Chechens were among the fighters. Ukrainian air forces destroyed two terrorists tanks, attempting to attack International Airport in Lugansk. Ukrainian Coast Guard checkpoint near Sedovo-Novoazovsk, was shelled by mortars and casualties were reported.

● Leader of Crimean People Medjlis, Mr. Chubarov was banned to enter Crimea. Crimea «Prosecutor» Natalia Poklonskaya, appointed by Russian authorities, announced the ban to Mr. Chubarov at Chongar checkpoint, at the border of occupied Crimea. In turn, Mr. Chubarov demanded to have the announcement being done in state Crimean Tatar language (as per the new "Constitution of Crimea"), but was refused. He have been also banned from entering Russia for 5 years. Entry to the Crimea have been also introduced to the previous leader of the Medjlis, Mustafa Dzhemilev.

• Прем'єр уряду України Яценюк доручив губернатору Донецької області Таруті відновити життєзабезпечення звільненого від терористів Слов'янська за добу.
  Йдеться про відновлення функціонування державних установ, правоохоронних органів, органів юстиції, медичних та освітніх установ, Ощадбанку, систем зв'язку, підвезення води і продовольства. У вирішенні проблеми будуть задіяні сусідні області - Харківська та Луганська.

• Премьер правительства Украины Яценюк поручил губернатору Донецкой области Таруте восстановить жизнеобеспечение освобожденного от террористов Славянска за сутки.
  Речь идет о возобновлении функционирования государственных учреждений, правоохранительных органов, органов юстиции, медицинских и образовательных учреждений, Ощадбанка, систем связи, подвозе воды и продовольствия. В решении проблемы будут задействованы соседние области - Харьковская и Луганская.

• During telephone talks with President German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated that unilateral ceasefire is not an option to be considered. During the discussion on situation in Donbass, Mr. Poroshenko stressed that negotiations could continue but are subject to all parties being compliant to the pacification roadmap.
• Ukrainian Security Service (SSU) opened criminal proceedings on Dmitry Kiselyov, general manager of "Russia Today" TV channel, accusing him on "financing of terrorism". SSU chief, Mr. Nalyvaychenko, stated during the briefing that financing of terrorism in eastern Ukraine being performed via Russian Banks, by former high officials of Ukraine, as well as by Russian media. Criminal case have been also launched against the head of the Russian State Border Control Service, Mr. Kuleshov.
• President of Ukraine, Mr. Poroshenko appointed new head of Ukroboronprom (state company trading military equipment). Mr. Romanov, owner of car dealership, Kherson region elections campaign head of Mr. Poroshenko became the one.
• Official exchange rate of Ukrainian Hryvnya (UAH), established by National Bank of Ukraine is as follows: 11.83 UAH / 1 $ (-1 cop), 16.14 UAH / 1 € (-3 cop), 3.46 UAH / 1 RUB. Market exchange rate fluctuated between 11,75-11,88 UAH / 1 $ and 15,98-16,16 UAH / 1€.
• Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) deputies approved government's energy sector emergency measures and gas transport system modernization bill in the first reading.The law presumes possibility to introduce special conditions of fuel & energy system functioning in case of supply to Ukraine will be disrupted or discontinued. Also parliamentarians approved as a basis draft amendments to several laws of Ukraine regulating management of the gas transportation system, presuming creation of system operator, at least 51% stake to be owned by Ukrainian state. Nevertheless, Ukrainian state remains owner of 100% of the gas transportation system.

• Президент Порошенко провел телефонные переговоры с федеральным канцлером Германии Меркель и президентом Франции Олландом, в ходе которых заявил, что одностороннего прекращения огня больше не будет.
  В ходе обсуждения процесса урегулирования ситуации в Донбассе, Порошенко подчеркнул, что продолжение переговоров возможно лишь при условии обязательного соблюдения положений мирного плана всеми сторонами.
• СБУ открыла уголовное производство против Дмитрия Киселева, генерального директора канала “Russia Today” по статье “финансирование терроризма”.
  Глава СБУ Наливайченко на брифинге заявил, что финансирование терроризма на востоке Украины осуществляется с помощью российских банков, бывших высоких должностных лиц Украины, а также российских медиа. Также открыто уголовное дело против руководителя Госпогранслужбы России Кулешова.
• Порошенко назначил нового главу Укроборонпрома.
  Им стал руководитель его херсонского областного избирательного штаба, владелец автосалона Романов.
• НБУ установил следующий курс гривны по отношению к основным валютам на 04.07: 11,83 грн/$ (-1 коп), 16,14 грн/€ (-3 коп), 3,46 грн/Руб.
  Котировки на межбанке колебались в диапазоне 11,75-11,88 грн/$ и 15,98-16,16 грн/€.
• Депутаты Верховной Рады проголосовали в первом чтении за правительственные законопроекты о чрезвычайном положении в энергетике и модернизации ГТС.
  Закон предполагает возможность введения особого периода функционирования топливно-энергетического комплекса в условиях ограничения или прекращения поставок энергоносителей на территорию Украины. Также депутаты приняли за основу проект изменений в ряд законов Украины относительно реформирования системы управления газотранспортной системой, который предусматривает создание оператора единой системы, собственником не менее 51% которого является государство. При этом 100% ГТС Украины остается в государственной собственности.

• Amendments to Ukrainian constitution, proposed by Ukrainian President Mr. Poroshenko, included into the agenda of the Ukrainian Parliament. Parliament should submit the amendments to the Constitutional Court for conclusion and validation. According to the parliamentary Mr. Vlasenko, Constitutional amendments proposed by the President of Ukraine, will strongly reinforce presidential power. Therefore, parliamentary group “Batkivschyna” (Motherland) consider submitting the alternative Constitutional amendments proposal. At the same time, Mr. Poroshenko claims that Constitution amendments shouldn’t be considered with a power redistribution intend but rather as a part of the pacification process. Inaugural speech also missed the statement on President being guarantor of the Ukrainian Constitution. 
• Candidates, proposed by the President of Ukraine for Minister of Defence (Mr. Galetey) and Chief of Military Staff-Armed Forces Commander in Chief (Mr. Muzhenko) were approved by the parliament. Food tycoon, multibillionaire, owner of “Nasha Ryaba”, Kosyuk appointed as First Deputy Chief of the Presidential Administration and from now on will be responsible for the security and defense matters. Former Acting Defense Minister Mr. Koval appointed as Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
