Key Events in Ukraine

  • The ruling Parliamentary coalition is on the brink of collapse.
  • Parties held congresses and nominate the candidates for the local elections.
  • Kiev hosted the International Forum of Yalta European Strategy. Former Israeli President Peres urged Ukrainians to dream big.
  • The SSU  announced about the arrest of the "Slobozhanshchyna" battalion leader for the organization of the attempted assassination of Interior Minister Avakov
  • The Rights Sector and Automaydan activists, who captures Kivalov’s castle by the sea, were arrested and released on bail.
  • At the Head of the State Employment Service was caught with a large bribe.
  • The first petition to the President gained enough votes to present them for consideration.

Ukraine at War

  • The situation in the Donbass remains stable but the army continues to incur losses.
  • The Crimean Tatars are preparing to blockade the Crimea
  • Former Italian President Berlusconi visited the Crimea, accompanied by Russian President Putin.
  • Three Ukrainian soldiers were arrested on the administrative border with the Crimea.

Ukraine and the World


  • Russian demands in negotiations on free trade zone with the EU were rejected again.
  • Russia does not consider itself obliged to fulfill the Minsk agreements.
  • Ukraine handed over the documents on the recognition of the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court in the Hague over the crimes of Russia  in the Donbass .
  • The Foreign Ministers of the “Normandy Four” were unable to reach agreement on the Donbass.
  • Russia does not consider Savchenko a POW.
  • The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation accused Prime Minister Yatsenyuk in participation in the fighting on the side of the Chechens in 1994.
  • Russia refuses to restructure the loan issued to Yanukovych.
