  • Prime Minister Yatsenyuk, in his weekly televised address, announced about reformatting of the Cabinet of Ministers in September . Experts believe that changes in the government are hardly possible before the local elections.

  • At night, unknown persons burned four armored jeeps of the OSCE mission in Donetsk. Head of Mission Hug said that it will not stop the observers - they will continue to perform the control functions. Head of the National Security and Defense Council Turchynov believes that in such a way the militants are trying to intimidate the observers and prevent them from inspecting the front-line areas.
  • The situation in the Donbass continues to escalate, the number of militants attacks is  increasing. According to the official reports, during the previous day one Ukrainian soldier was killed  and 10 were injured, there are many casualties among the civilians. The militants are using heavy artillery and tanks. In addition to the ongoing fighting in the surroundings of Donetsk, the militants resumed their attacks in the Sector "M" - in Granitne, Novolaspa, "demilitarized" Shyrokino, Sartana. Observers in the occupied territories reported about the mass transfer of troops and equipment to the front line.

Ukraine and the World

  • In Japan, the ceremonies were held to mark the anniversary of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. Pope Francis has called for a ban on the nuclear weapons.
  • In Turkey another terrorist attack was committed  in Istanbul, as a result, several people were killed . The authorities claim that it was committed by a female suicide bomber from the Kurdistan Workers' Party. The situation in the country is gradually escalating, despite the authorities' attempts to prevent the terrorism conducting the mass arrests.
  • The United States sent six fighter aircrafts to Turkey to fight the ISIS.
  • As a result of the  accident with the tourist bus in Romania, a woman and a child were killed, 21 people were wounded. The injured were hospitalized and they will be delivered home soon.
  • The US Embassy in Lithuania announced about the launch of the program to counter the Russian media in the Baltic countries .
  • Deutsche Welle reports that in Germany the solar energy sector produces same much energy as the nuclear power plants. The rate of growth of alternative energy sector is increasing every year.

The Trends


  • According to experts, the changes to the Constitution which the President prepares regarding the judicial branch of power, are aimed at the complete elimination of the Verkhovna Rada from the process of appointment and dismissal of judges. The elimination of the probation period for judges and their lifetime appointment could make the judges non-cognizable, excluding their liability for the designedly unjust decisions.
