The Trends

  • Elections to the 205 electoral district of Chernihiv became the dirtiest since the times of Yanukovych rule. President Poroshenko’s team is trying to get own candidate elected by any means. There are reports on the use of forged electoral documents, seals. The administrative resources are widely used, the opinion leaders reported on candidate Berezenko’s attempts to bribe them. The only competition for him may be the candidate of the Dnepropetrovsk clan of Kolomoisky - Corban, but according to experts, his chances are low, since the authorities will surely use the Central Election Commission, controlled by it,  to intervene with the election process and the counting of the votes.

However, the territories, controlled by the militants of the DPR and LPR are not given the status of the occupied territories by the law.
  • The expert from the United States, the former permanent representative to NATO, Waller believes that the Minsk agreement is an agreement to divide Ukraine, which was imposed on Kiev by Germany, Russia and France. And now this division of the country is  monitored by the international community through the OSCE. The Minsk agreement is not a solution but the problem itself, because in fact they make the Russia's invasion to Ukraine legitimate. The situation does not improve, the West should be prepared for the continuation of the aggressive actions by Russia.
