Key Events In Ukraine

• President Poroshenko submitted to the Parliament a draft law on the elimination of the National Commission for Regulation of the financial services, with the transfer of its functions to the Securities Commission and the National Bank.
• After the party congress, the "Right Sector" held the rally at the Maidan today, which was attended by several thousand people. The leader of the party Yarosh announced that the political force will initiate a referendum on non-confidence in authorities, recognition of the Anti-Terrorist Operation as a war, total blockade of the Donbass and the legalization of the voluntary troops. The party is renamed into the "Right Sector" National-Liberation movement .
• The card of former President Yanukovych disappeared from the Interpol’s "most wanted" listis due to complaints of his legal representatives. General Prosecutor's Office Press Service stated that it will insist on unlocking of the information on the Interpol website and said that they sent to Interpol all the materials necessary for investigation and explained the reasons for his search.
• The General Prosecutor’s Office announced about the completion of the investigation on the "dictatorship laws" of  Yanukovych, adopted on 16 January 2014, after which the tense phase of confrontation at the Maidan  began.
• The SSU and General Prosecutor’s Office investigators found out that the officials of the Ukrainian Center for the Independent Evaluation created a criminal group for interference with the work of electronic systems and registers.
• The Court of Appeals re-arrested former official of the General Prosecutor's Office, who was detained on suspicion of corruption, and increased the amount for his bail to UAH 6.4 million ($ 300 thousand).
• Chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Saakashvili and Deputy Secretary of State Brownfield signed a memorandum on assistance to the region in reforming of the customs and administrative services and provision of free legal services to the volunteers.
• "Naftogaz" filed a claim against the "Kyivenergo" for the amount of almost USD 4 billion  for the natural gas consumed in 2014-2015.
• Ukraine increased the natural gas pumping due to reversal supplies from Slovakia. Currently more than 12 billion m3 of natural gas are pumped to the underground storage facilities.
• The official hryvnia exchange rate remains stable: 22.02 UAH/USD (-0.01 UAH),  23.93 UAH/EUR (+0,02 UAH), 3.86 UAH/RUR 10 (-0.02 UAH).

• The Headquarters of the Anti-Terrorist Operation refuted the militants assertion about the removing of the weaponry from the fighting line. The fighting took place in the surroundings of Gorlivka, Avdiyivka and Stanitsa Luhanska were shelled, an attack in the area of ​​Granitne was repulsed . During the day, according to the official reports, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and one more was wounded.
• The OSCE admitted that mission observers are not fulfilling the monitoring at night, although they hear the sounds of shelling.
• Vice Prime Minister Zubko said that the construction of fortifications in the eastern Ukraine is 100% complete.
• Canada gave the armed forces a mobile military hospital, equipped with the latest technologies.

• In Minsk, the negotiations of the contact group on the settlement  in the Donbass took place, where the representatives of the self-proclaimed "republics" were also invited . After the meeting, the OSCE Head Dačić said that the participants agreed on a phased plan to withdraw the artilery with caliber of less than 100 mm and tanks from the demarcation line, and also discussed the local elections in Donbass and Ukraine.
• EU Ambassador to Ukraine Tombinsky said that on July 22 the EU will transfer to Ukraine the first tranche of the macro-financial assistance in the amount of € 600 million.
• Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs Brok said that the Western countries will not get involved into the war with Russia because of its aggression in Ukraine, because Ukraine is not a NATO member.
• The legal representative of Ukrainian deputy Savchenko said that the trial over her will begin on July 30 in Donetsk, the Rostov region, and states that video used by the prosecution proves her innocence.
• The Security Council of the Netherlands announced that on 10 August  a report on the investigation of the airliner MH-17 flight crash  in the sky over the Donbass will be released.
• In Shanghai, BRICS Development Bank started to work. The representative of India became its first President. The amount of the bank paid-in capital will be $ 10 billion, but it can be increased to $ 40 billion.

The Trends

• The MPs of the ruling coalition believe that selective deprivation of immunity of deputies by the Prosecutor's Office and the criminal prosecution for the signatures for resignation of the General Prosecutor in the absence of prosecution of deputies Klyuyev and Bakulin indicate an attempt of the President to drag the authoritative powers. Such position may lead to the failure of the attempts to amend the Constitution articles about deprivation of the  deputies immunity.
