Prime Minister Yatsenyuk and Head of Naftogaz Kobolev declared that according to NSDC decision Ukraine could terminate gas supplies to the territories, controlled by DRP and LPR militants, as such supplies are not being paid for.
President Poroshenko urged parliamentary members of his political party to support candidature of Yatsenyuk as a Prime Minister of the new Government. Lviv mayor Sadovyy and Kyiv mayor Klitschko are not considering to leave their current jobs for the parliament seats.
Ukraine is completely ready to pay for gas according to trilateral protocol as soon as gas discounts are approved by the Russian government. Ukrainian Government is preparing have a contest for European and US investors aimed to modernize the Ukrainian gas transport system.
National Energy and Communal Services Commission increased gas tariffs for communal enterprises and industry. The Government is getting ready with extra compensation mechanisms for the poor, as tariffs have increased.
Official exchange rates, established by the NBU are as follows: 12.95 UAH/USD, 16.31 UAH/EUR (-20cop), 2.98 UAH/10 RUB (-6cop).
Shelling of Ukrainian army positions by militants have recently intensified across the combat area frontline. Donetsk airport defenders repelled another massive attack. Terrorists and Russian troops continue to concentrate forces and military equipment on key routes of potential offensive - Elenovka, Dokuchaevsk, Telmanovo, Novoazovsk, Alchevsk, Gorlovka, Donetsk, Schastye, Debaltseve and Slavyanoserbsk.
"Humanitarian convoy", which delivered unknown shipments to Donetsk and Luhans’k, returned to Russia as declared by Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. Ukrainian border guards evidenced 76 trucks passing through two check points. Information on other check points is missing.
Ukraine will push for introduction of sanctions against Russian movie star Porechenkov, who has been recorded shooting at Ukrainian military in Donetsk airport.
