- Prime Minister Yatsenyuk, speaking live on ICTV channel, stated that under the Constitution, parliamentary elections must be held by the system with open lists of parties candidates. In case of ad hoc re-elections, the law should be changed to ensure compliance with the Constitution. He also stressed, that there is a risk of technical default, if deputies will approve the governmental bils.

War in Ukraine
- Terrorists shelled with multiple rocket launchers "Grad" residential areas of Donetsk, Luhansk, Avdiivka, Shakhtersk and Terez, civilian casualties have been reported. 14 civilians, including 5 children, were killed with shelling of Gorlovka city center on Sunday. Railroad bridges have been blown in Avdiivka, Gorlovka and Luhansk region, therefore connections with Luhansk being disrupted. Lugansk is disconnected from the power supply as the electricity line have been damage during the terrorists shelling.
- Ukrainian Armed Forces suppress penetration of subversive groups of terrorists to recently liberated Slovyanks. Mass graves, left by terrorists, have been recently discovered.
- Ukrainian army gained control over the strategic heights "Saur-Mohyla", that had been used by terrorists for shelling of border checkpoint "Marynivka", as well as entered Shakhtarsk city, Torez and Lutugino, Avdiyivka have been liberated.
- 54 Ukrainian paratroopers from the 79th Mykolaiv airmobile brigade, that have surrendered to Russia, could face criminal punishment under the recently opened criminal case.
International
- Hague arbitration court partially satisfied lawsuit of Yukos shareholders against Russin state, asking to compensate $ 50 billions for the Energy Charter violation and assets misappropriation. The amount must be paid before January 15, 2015. Russia is getting ready to appeal the decision.
- Leaders of the United States and four European countries, in a joint statement, recognized inevitability of sanctions against Russian economic sectors, as later doesn’t move to close the border with Ukraine and continue to sponsor terrorists.
