Ukraine

• President of Ukraine Mr. Poroshenko will not attend the final match of the football World Cup in Brazil due to the the situation in the Home Land. Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, invited Mr. Poroshenko to this event among other presidents, where an informal meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel could take place.

War in Ukraine

• Significant columns of armored vehicles under the Russian flags cross Ukrainian border through seized border checkpoint «Izvarino». Several hundreds of Russian military units are already in the country. Network is full of online videos with Russian armored vehicles entering Lugansk and passing through the border.

• Ukrainian aviation inflicted numerous air strikes on terrorists strongholds in Lugansk region. Despite the border is closed from Ukrainian side, Russia passes terrorists and weapons through those on its side.

• Seversk town in the Lugansk region have been liberated from terrorists. Ukrainian army continues to advance toward Luhansk. Clashes with terrorists are ongoing near Zelenopolye, where previously 19 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed, and where Ukrainian army keeps border closed to avoid infiltration of troops and equipment from Russian territory. Separatists shelled Lugansk airport with tanks. Ukrainian troops, protecting the border in Donetsk region, being shelled from dominant height Saur-Mohyla in Shakhtersk area.
• Maryinka and south-western outskirts of Donetsk were twice shelled by terrorists during the day. Official casualties, reported as 6 civilians dead, are strongly challenged by locals who fled from the war zone, claiming dozens of dead and severe destructions.
• In the same area operating coal mine in Kurakhovo have been shelled with multiple missile launcher "Grad". DPR (Donetsk People Republic) terrorists confiscate civilians cars and "mobilize" young people, grabbing them directly on the city streets, as locals report in social networks. Explosion reported on Friday in Donetsk shopping mall (TSUM). At the same time, mayor of Donetsk Mr. Lukyanchenko is in Kiev, "addressing issues of life support the city." Residents are leaving the city en masse.

Kyiv

• Kyiv Mayor Mr. Klitschko met with private entrepreneurs from Andriivsky Spusk (i.e. Kyiv Monmartre), where he stressed that in order for this key tourist attraction to be retained,  car passage through it must be fully closed at least on weekends, as well as «efforts» of previous reconstruction must be eliminated.

International

• British Government didn’t invite members of Russian delegation to the Farnborough air show, held once per two years, due to Russian actions in Ukraine. Explicit steps have been also taken, to remove Russia from the list of countries eligible to use the open general export license, in order to to reduce the level of overall Russian presence on Farnborough 2014.

• Ukrainian Consul can’t yet meet with Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko, hijacked by terrorists of LPR and illegally transferred to and detained in Russia.

• Valeriya Novodvorskaya, prominent human rights activist and political figure, ideological opponent of Mr. Putin, who had consistently supported Maidan and Ukraine, passed away in Moscow. According to Russian media, Novodvorskaya died on 65-year of life from the infectious-toxic shock.
